We have arrived in Kentucky, we are in Louisville, its very pretty here, its cold but not when your inside, good news for me as I haven’t quite got all the clothes suitable for this weather yet, hopefully I will get that sorted today. At the moment the weather is 43°F which is about 7°C. It’s a nice fresh cold though, similar to how it felt when we were in New Zealand. 

Ryan was so lovely and picked us up from the airport at 11.30 even though he gets up for work at 4am in the morning.

We are going to have breakfast soon and then have a look around the neighbourhood, we have a mud map with coffee shops in walking distance.

We made it to the Makers Mark distillery today, Ryan’s flatmate Rob took us there, its pretty cool, Roy got to dip his own bottle in wax and we took heaps of pics of the various stages of the process.

Ryan took us to the basketball tonight, the Louisville Cardinals played Stetson University and Louisville won, yah! (that is where we are staying, home team) Ryan bought both Roy & I matching team jumpers to wear to the game, we looked so cute! Hehe

We had dinner afterwards with Maureen & Ron who are friends of Ryan’s we are all staying together at their house whilst we are here, they are such a lovely couple who have made us feel so welcome already. We had pizza for dinner with some good wine & beer and some great conversation.

Oh yes side note – Moet only costs $40 a bottle here so looks like I can keep drinking it for a while longer – woo hoo!
