Well we have left Vegas, what a weekend it was, everyone should go to Vegas once in their life, its just like how you would imagine it to be, You only need a few days to take it all in, but it was a great experience for sure. Definitely stay in a newer hotel you can tell the difference, also it was good being so close to the strip as well makes getting around a lot easier. Roy did his homework and it paid off as I couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay, well maybe Hugh Hefner’s playboy suite at the Palms, but I don’t think that would have been possible.
We looked at a lot of the other casino’s on Sunday, took heaps of photos of them all, some of the casino’s are so old you can tell when you get inside them, they smell like stale cigarette’s and also you can tell in the toilets as nothing is automatic, in most of the newer ones everything is automatic, which is good coz you don’t have to touch anything, the toilets flush on their own and the taps work from motion, as do the hand towels and dryers.
We had a lovely dinner at Stratosphere Sunday night, the revolving restaurant, it was the most amazing 360 degree view of Vegas it up at night, you can see it all and yes they do have a theme park at the top, with rides, Roy couldn’t even bring himself to look at the rides without feeling a bit icky. They look so scary! There is no way I would have gone on, but it was nice to eat up there thanks to Kim & Greg for dinner, it was the best food, we had 4 courses, all the food was amazing and the bottle of Moet as well, we also had our picture taken up there.
After dinner we went to MGM to do some gambling, it was fun we didn’t waste too much money though. We have been going to bed about 2-3pm every night i don’t usually last longer than about 11pm but time seems to go so quickly before I know it its already 2 in the morning.
We had a bit to drink Sunday night we decided we were in Vegas we should have a crazy night, haha it wasn’t too crazy but we had fun, Roy was doing shooters of Kaluha.
Monday we both had treatments done at the spa at the hotel, which was very relaxing and sooo expensive I could have bought 3 pairs of shoes instead!! Speaking of shoes I got the most wicked blue shoes today.
Monday night football was a great game, we watched it at a bar and had dinner during the game, afterwards we did a bit more shopping. We then headed back for some more gambling, I was sitting next to this guy at the Roulette table and he kept asking what he should put his money on he was betting loads at a time and he kept winning, (I didn’t think to copy him did I – duh) but he gave me a $100 chip, which I put straight into my pocket, I wasn’t going to gamble that little win away. Just as well coz when we got to the airport today no surprise our bags were over the 50 pounds so we had to pay extra and my bag alone cost an extra $100 so at least I didn’t have to pay for that, thanks to the gentleman at the casino for that little gift.
We are at the airport in Dallas Fort Worth as I type this, Roy has gone into a gift shop to buy some Texas things. We have a short flight in about half an hour to Kentucky and Ryan is meeting us at the airport. We left Vegas as 2pm and had a two hour fight here and now its 7.00pm at night. So we have changed time zones again, when we land in Kentucky it will be 10.30 at night so we sort of lost a day today travelling, but it hasn’t felt that long coz we have only really been flying for a few hours.
Roy is back with some bounty but not enough so he is off to find a bigger shop, haha.
Oh darn our flight has just been delayed by 45 minutes, might be time for me to head to the gift store as well J
Pictures to follow.
