Start spreading the news

Today is a travel day, we say goodbye to Nick and Florida and head north for NYC and some cold weather. It was finally a nice day in Ft Walton Beach today, the sun was out and it was very pleasant. Highlights from the travel today..Roy was taken aside at the airport security in Ft Walton Beach and padded down, that’s 1 each now.

We arrived in New York at about 8.30 tonight, wow we were already impressed just flying in, we spotted time square, the statue of liberty and also the beautiful skyline, the Brooklyn bridge just to name a few things. Everything looks so pretty and lit up.

We finally managed to get out of the airport, with our 4 suitcases!! Haha. The first taxi Roy loaded up with our bags couldn’t shut the door (that’s right Roy had to load them all coz they are all so heavy these poor little cab drivers cant lift them), so Roy had to take it all out and they got us a bigger car to put our bags into, this time we managed to squeeze it all in, luckily. Everyone is like your supposed to leave with that many suitcases, god knows how we are going to be when we leave here, but hey its once in a lifetime trip for us, so it will be worth it.

We have checked in to our lovely suite at the Sofitel, Roy has done a great job again with his choice of hotel, everything is so nice and new and clean and everyone friendly and we have space!!! Which we need. Hey upgraded us for the one night that we had to change rooms, so now we don’t have to change rooms and we get to keep the same room for our whole stay, that was nice of them.

Then the hotel sent up this lovely desert for us, with Happy Honeymoon on the plate, so sweet!

Its 10.30 at night and we are venturing out to check out this wonderful city, I cant go to bed yet I am way too excited and we haven’t had dinner either.

Ok so we got to see the ice skating rink at the Rockafeller centre, Times Square and walk down 5th Avenue and see all the shops, I have maped out a pretty good path for some serious shopping tomorrow. I am so excited to be here, this place is amazing, we both stood in Times Square like little kids in a candy store, WOW its very impressive.

We just had to put this post up straight away as we wanted to share some of the NYC pics with you, everything has Christmas decorations on it, its awesome.

Stay tuned for more fun tomorrow – Night from the Cooney’s in New York City.
