Now back to Kentucky . . .Today we spent a few hours shopping at one of the malls here in Louisville and seeing more of the city. A little bit cooler today than yesterday, roughly 40 degrees (approx 4C), so had to walk a little more briskly to keep warm. Bec had the gloves on all day couldn’t even take them off to shop, oh wait till we got to the shoe store and then they came off, she was like a deer in the headlights! Speaking of deer, we saw one today just minding its own business eating grass on the side of the road.
Bec has taken some pictures of the neighbourhood of where we are staying so you can see all the nice houses, everything is a bit sparse at the moment as all the leaves have fallen. Some of the houses look like the ones from Amityville (the movie). Will put these pics up tomorrow.
Heading to the Irish pub Shenanigans tonight for some wings and some NFL. Our adopted team the NY Jets are playing a Thursday night game, so we are totally there.
The Jets came from behind to win the game, there is hope for them yet. The wings were great and the beers and conversation flowed well for the game, it was fun. Ryan’s friends Annette and Hugh came along as well as Ryan’s flat mate Rob.
Bec & I had White Castles on the way home, Bec’s first time, she wasn’t disappointed she loves the cute little burger that all come in their own cute little boxes.
