We finally made it. we are actually in maui, some 10000 kms or 19 hrs later.
the little plane moved so slowly across the screen, at times I honestly thought it had moved backwards.
It was a roller coaster bumpy take off in perth but after that things settled down and the flights were fine. Let me tell you the extra $$$ to secure the exit row seat on the Syd to Honolulu leg was definitely worth it, it was like sitting in my recliner at home, was totally able to stretch my legs out in comfort, money well spent I say. which means i was able to get some sleep on the flight, yay!! Bec and I came out of it ok and are feeling alright.
Maui is so beautiful! Bec is getting used to resort living a little too easily :-)
the hotel is awesome, they had a nice present waiting for us when we arrived. getting used to the tipping, even Bec is handing out tips like a veteran.
weve been exploring the hotel and surroundings, today were probably going to have a swim and totally relax with a massage.

oh yes we found this awesome place last night and did some damage with $7 mai tai's
