last night in paradise

A few other things I missed out on putting into my last blog about the hotel:

When your sitting by the pool being waited on by the lovely staff, they also come around with little treats for you, soothing aloa vera gel, icey poles and jelly cups as well as filling up your ice water , and bringing delicious cocktails!.

Also this hotel is very green, the plastic cups they serve your water in are made from corn. Sorry if your sick of hearing about it, but I just love the small touches. Roy told me today that I should make the most of it coz we aren’t going to be in a resort much longer, we leave tomorrow for Honolulu which I am sure will be great, but this had to end sometime.

Cocktail of the day today is the Lavaflow! Awesome!

I have put  pic below of the ingredients of my two favourites, so you can enjoy them as well at home. They are all blended with ice and served with garnishes!  I think we will be making these at Xmas time this year.

Even the gym here is 5 star, they have Gatorade on tap, cold iced water with or without lemon and orange, cold towels scented with lavender and eucalyptus. It almost made our work out this morning fun (almost).

Tonight for our last night here we are dining at Spargo’s which is a lovely restaurant within the hotel. Wow did we get spoilt, when we booked our table they asked if we were celebrating anything or if we were just on vacation, so we said we were on our honeymoon, so from the minute we arrived they treated us like we were royalty, they gave us free side dishes and made sure we had everything we needed all night, they kept calling me Mrs Cooney and I kept looking around for Roy’s mum, haha they also did a special desert for us, aww so sweet. The meals were soooo good. I also treated myself to champagne that was $25 a glass I don’t know how I am ever going to drink Yellow again when I get home, I have been spoiling myself way too much lately.

Did some more shopping today, something that I will never get sick off, the only thing good about leaving Maui is I am looking forward to some new shops as we have done everything here now.

Will leave you today with the Hawaiian word I learnt today – lihilihi

(lee-he-lee-he) and it means eyelashes. Next time we blog we will be in Waikiki,  mahola!
